Around this time of the year, every year, there is always present a swirling mix of dynamic energy around our planet and in all of our lives. It is during this year-end holiday season when I always pause for a few days to reflect on the past year and anticipate the year ahead. This is almost like a hibernation period for me, in which my body system begins to dramatically slow down and gear up, all at the same time. This happens every year, regardless of what I'm doing and what I am planning... so I have to be careful and watch the approaching signs, as it is a necessary re-evaluation/rejuvenation time for both my body and spirit. Some of you may know what I'm talking about here, as I believe this happens to everyone, and is actually a prompting from Spirit, allowing us to reflect on our lives and prepare for the year ahead. One of the things that is often difficult for me to do is slow down, as I am an Aries at heart and always seem to be racing to catch the next rainbow or falling star. However, I have learned since my awakening many years ago, that it is important to take a rest, relax, ground my energy and reflect a bit on the past years challenges and accomplishments. Personally, I am not one to dwell in the past, but I have learned that in order to grow and evolve, I need to follow this internal slowdown/acceleration wherever it leads, in order to retrieve necessary memories and to allow my spirit and human-self to be nourished by the gifts that I have been given. I always give extra thanks to the universe, to God and to my spirit guides for all of the support, protection and guidance they have bestowed upon me in order to further my mission here on Earth. Similarly, many of you, even through the hectic pace of the holidays, are realizing just how important it is to take some extra downtime and be extra grateful for everything. The greatest gift you can give yourself at this time of the year is peace, reflection and gratitude! Reflection = Revelation and Transformation! Reflection is a wonderful concept and mode that inspires both revelation and positive change within. It allows us to see ourselves as we truly are and make any necessary changes from a more balanced perspective. During this last year (or should I say, the 2006 Tornado) my mission and business expanded exponentially, allowing me to download and implement many new and amazing aspects of my destiny plan. Although the year began in twister fashion, with my business doing a major changeover, the on-line and Cosmic Purpose tele-seminars were absolutely packed and in many cases sold out. In addition, a new LightQuest staff member, Meg Graham, really helped upgrade the business by setting up things like PayPal for our international customers who were having a difficult time ordering. I was also able to compile all of my energy packages into the wonderful Masterworks book and upgrade many accelerators perceived “lost” from past years. Also, although giving a conference does pose its problems, Light Masters 2006 Disneyland went off without a hitch and was absolutely one of the most exciting and inspiring things I have done to date. Additionally, many individuals from the California Adventure 2005-2006 workshops began to excel and release themselves of old programming, implementing new and exciting aspects of their destiny. However, reflection also forces you to look at the many things that didn't work and the relationships, friends and clients that have fallen away for whatever reasons. The memories of once close allies and clients pour forth into my mind's eye as I write, allowing me to experience, if just for a moment, the joys and subsequent disconnection and disappointment of those experiences. For me, this is often difficult, especially if I've spent so much time working with and assisting someone…and with one word or sentence, they are gone. But my consolation prize is great; knowing that over 90% of the individuals I have become friends and/or worked with are still around, and evolving at a highly accelerated pace. Also, my family presented me with a few challenges this year, first dealing with the six-month aftermath of my mother’s life being torn apart during and after hurricane Katrina, followed by the joyful, painful and bittersweet reunion with my sister, and the subsequent death of my father in early October. This has all served to strengthen my spirit and remind me that life is all about change and movement, taking us on an adventure we could have never imagined. Early on in my journey, I was told by my spirit guides that I had come to teach detachment and to learn patience. Well, I am very good at the former… but am still working to master the latter, day in and day out. And for all of you out there who have experienced separation of some kind during the last year, I say this, “No Regrets! Let's move forward together!” Relaxation, reflection, simplicity and revelation will be our guiding lights for the next few weeks. Why do you think God put two big holidays at the end of the year? There's a reason for that you know! Relax in this case means, do not overstress yourself with all of the imposed obligations (gift giving and relatives, etc.); try to get away in your mind to the inner temple of peace within. It is here where your consciousness can rest and you can make an agreement with your spirit to excel into your highest potential in 2007. If you feel a prompting to take a spontaneous adventurous trip during Christmas, take it without hesitation! If you need to get away from the family and relatives for a few hours, then do so without hesitation! If you feel your spirit calling you inward, take the journey now! Simplicity = Clarity and Prosperity! It's time to get rid of a lot of excess baggage! And yes, although this means imbalanced mental and emotional patterns, it primarily means all of the stuff in your home that is cluttering up your consciousness and clogging all of your energy channels. Practically Japanese, that's the way to live! Although this process is usually called spring cleaning, I highly recommend doing it now rather than later… a little bit each day... go through everything and get rid of anything you haven't used in a year or so. Don't try to hang onto anything for sentimental reasons, give it away to someone who can use it now. Many of the items that people have collected do not carry the grace that they once had. This means that many of the items in your home are no longer carrying an anointing for you, even though you feel you want or need them. Although many people hesitate in this area and believe that it doesn't matter all that much, it is a major factor which prohibits forward movement on the spiritual path. Bottom line: Get rid of it now, before the end of the year, even if you have to make five or ten trips to the Salvation Army or the Goodwill! This in turn will clean out your consciousness as well as magnify your perceptions and spiritual powers for the coming year. Beautiful Day, December 31 2006!
